In particular the fetal Doppler that we have rented. This marvellous little toy, seen above, can be used to listen to what's going on down in mummy's ever expanding abdomen: in particular to listen to Flump's heartbeat, can the little thing be located! After much application of gel and moving the little stick about, we were able to track down a fairly persistent swishing noise, before getting Stel's heartbeat followed finally by the much faster and unmistakeable rhythm of Flump! This would then disappear, causing us to move the stick again until Flump could be heard again! Great fun.
This was like having our very own scan, and an absolutely fabulous treat for me; I haven't been able to feel Flump kicking yet while Stel can feel them alot, so this was something we could experience together, and what an experience! Bless God for this new life. We love Flump so much, and cannot wait to meet them!

And as an additional thing, hearing the heartbeat on this clever thing is much clearer than the scan at the hospital because there's less background noise, it's incredible to hear - so any pregnant women are more than welcome to use it!
