We told my family we were expecting last night! We have arranged to stay at John's folks tonight and we will tell them at dinner - I sneakily text MumS to ask if they were around in the evening for dinner. She has no idea why, yet - I think...
As we sat down for dinner with the Wallach household, Dad was in wind-up mode and I was slightly on edge. So Dad eventually gave thanks for dinner, then John said, 'now everyone is in a good mood...' the suspense! ... 'Stel's pregnant!'.
And everyone looked, then asked if I really was, then squealed with excitement. It was lovely. TJ is looking forward tremendously to being an aunt, Elle is devastated that she will be at university when I give birth - but, God has it all covered. Mum is pleased she can finally put the travel cot to use and Dad is loving winding me up with the pregnancy side effects thing.
We have also asked Sarah & Steve if they are free tomorrow afternoon so we can pop round - I wonder why!
Eventually, we will be able to tell every one of our family and friends - but for now, while our baby is still growing strong we'll try to keep schtum. However hard that is!
